History


In 2013 the organization training needs were reviewed and one of the main areas requiring training was technology. A survey* via questionnaire was conducted which indicated that staff required basic skills in using computers and various applications such as MS Office, Internet and general concepts needed to operate the computers. A detailed report of the survey can be found here* and the ‘Elearning Department’ became ‘Elearning and IT Training Department’. Subsequently an IT Training Committee was formed and training began in all CMS Campuses. However, the project took its shape in 2014 when IT Assistants  were hired to ensure technology is embedded and supported in the campus. In addition IT Trainers were appointed in the ELIT Department to ensure that the training is facilitated at all campus and delivered to the Head Office Staff.

About us

CMS IT Portal was launched in December 2015 by the Development Team and managed by the eLearning department . Since then it has been used as a platform for automation of various processes across 19 CMS campuses from the Head Office.
